Welcome
Welcome to the social media subject guide. This guide is focused on the impact that tools such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, and blogging are having on our ability to communicate widely and instantaneously with very large numbers of readers--friends, acquaintances, and strangers alike.
Social networking tools are being used by people of all ages, and by both students and professionals. Every user is an author. Every photo, status update, posted story, and comment present opportunities for collaboration and social sharing, and reflect on the people who originated them.
